NEW MOON THOUGHTS

I’m not going to lie – there were parts I wanted to throw “New Moon” down my freaking stairs.

I knew off the bat that E/B were going to have ‘issues’ (HELLO GILMORE GIRLS COMPARISONS R/D/J) I just didn’t think those ‘issues’ involved him leaving her and then coming back with – well like nothing had changed. I mean I get why (the tracking bit) but to completely erase yourself because you decide it’d be better for her (even though she’s dependant or well becoming dependant on you) if you were gone is just asinine. I love Edward, don’t get me wrong but the boy got clubbed to the head way too late in the game to realize what he had done was in fact a mistake (in leaving her and doing the tracking thing wrong). Plus she thought she was hearing his voice. If that doesn’t yell DEPENDANT I don’t know what does.

That sounds terribly anti- E/B and I’m not really. I just enjoy both sides of the spectrum.

Edward leaving was his own fault; there I said it. So when he leaves Jake (*coughJesscough*) naturally steps in and I have no issue with that whatsoever, because I like that Jake gave her freedom, I like that he gives her the options Edward didn’t (although at one point after he pulls a werewolf!madison I thought “Oh god, he turned and now he’s insane too. Is she going to pull a Sam and kill him/ get him killed even though she cares for him?” ) <- Clearly ‘fandom’ has my life by the insane grip you’re gonna have to deal keeping winchesterbros.com updated is a full time job ha!

I, in particular, noted that Bella just gets something from Jacob that she never does from Edward, the option. Edward’s just determined to have her as is without letting her open up to much. Jacob gives her that. I did like the voting chapter, that to me, characteristically spoke volumes, she loves Edward, but at the same time I do think Jacob gave her the chance to open up and have a loud voice about what she wanted instead of just trusting Edward because she cares for him, but then she also cares for Jacob and there in it becomes tricky.

Jacob and Edward see sides of things. Werewolf vs. Vampire.

I don’t think Bella sees any type of side I just think she sees two people she cares for and loves and that is what I got from book two. They all see sides, I think Bella doesn’t see any side at all and is getting pushed into the breaking point of ‘PICK ONE’ by her own choice (or not in some cases). So by the end of book two she’s picked one, only I think she may (BIG MAY) retract what she picked.

Few things I loved and laughed outloud/ cried at:

• Edward thinking he killed himself when he sees Bella, and thinking he’s in hell that line he said had me rolling on the bed cackling. ~~it also proves that edward even though he doesn't want to admit it believes in life after being a vampire.~~ poor woobie ~~jared~~ edward.
• When Bella realized she loves Jacob too – that hurt to read but in a good way because I was rooting for Jacob while reading (was quite – uneasy with Edward moreso in the sense he was gone the majority of the novel).
• The ‘pack’. They actually made me emit loud happy noises – Jared in particular and Sam really isn’t a bad guy. LOL.
• The end of the book – that spoke volumes in reference to the j/b + e/b triangle I suspected but I just . . . I want to see how it plays out so badly.
• Charlie’s just made of Dad!Awesome and banning Edward was typical it gave me a chuckle. That poor guy, someone clue him in!
• My image of Jacob changed from Ben Foster to Milo V. while reading book two. No joke.
• Alice ~~Sandra McCoy~~/Jasper ~~Jensen Ackles~~ OMG! SQUEEEEEEEE! I want it to happen!

I ship both e/b + j/b because seriously? I can't pick, and I rather like 'team both'.
